  1. Hi there. I think it depends on what you want. For me…the decision came pretty naturally–I reached a point in my blogging where I wanted to do a few specific things (such as have more control over the design and the removal of wordpress ads) that I could not get with the free WP.

For me, it’s definitely worth it. But I think it depends on what you want and need…

    Take care! πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you so much, it is kind of difficult to know what it right. Im so new to blogging, I think I will look more into the paid ones though.

      1. I think the first step I took before jumping into a plan was to buy a premium theme that I really wanted…the plan came later so that I could remove ads. I would say–maybe don’t rush into it? Blog a little longer and see what exactly you want to spend money on…

        Have a great day! πŸ™‚

  2. Hello there.
I am currently using a free wordpress blog and I think it is pretty cool. Also paid wordpress is much costlier and much restricted compared to a normal self hosted site. If you do not need a self hosting, free works pretty fine. ☺

    1. Thank you for your feedback, I’ve been pretty skeptical about paying since there is a free option.. and I’m so new here, sometimes it is difficult.

  3. Greetings.

I have been contemplating the jump from the Free plan to the Personal one for a little while now and recently I came to a decision. It occurred to me, after some deliberation, that there is simply not enough of an ‘upgrade’ to justify going for the next step. The only significant boosts for me would have been the personal domain and the removal of WP ads, both of which I can do without for now.

If you don’t believe an upgrade to be absolutely essential then consider waiting until it is.

    I hope this helps.
